DANNEVIRKE POWER BOARD.

RESIGNATION OE SECRETARY. (Per United Press Association.) DAXNEVIRKE, September 28. The Dannevirke Power Board discussed to-day the matter of the reorganisation of the staff, and decided on certain curtailments and adjustments. During the course of the discussion the secretary and treasurer (Mr H. S. M. Quigley) tendered his resignation of the position, which he lias held since the inception of the board, some members considering that the whole of his time should be devoted to a position carrying a salary of £SOO per annum. His resignation was accepted, and will take effect on December 31 next. 'The board decided to invite applications for a full-time secretary, the commencing salary to bo £450 per annum.
