ALL SAFELY RECAPTURED, (Press Association- By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, September 26. The Paris correspondent of the Weekly Dispatch states that there was a panic when eight lions, two tigers, and other animals escaped during a circus performance at Saint Amand. A tiger dashed into a butcher’s shop and ate so heartily that he was easily recaptured. One lion smashed the front of a hatter’s shop and lay down on a pile of hats. Another entered a cafe, causing confusion among the customers and the waiters. A woman cashier fainted. Other animals escaped to a wood, where they were eventually recaptured, some being lassoed. —Sydney Sun Cable.
