A ROMANCE ENDED
KING BORIS OF BUGARIA. LOVE FOR ITALIAN PRINCESS. LONDON, September 12. A message from Paris says the romance of King Boris of Bulgaria with the 18-year-old Princess Giovanna, third daughter of King Victor Emmanel of Italy, has ended. The Italian Royal family discontinued the negotiators owing to the Objections of the Pope. These were based on the Bulgarian Constitution, which reouires the Srown Prince to be reared in the Ortodos hureh. The Italian Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, desiring to secure an Italian ally in the Balkans by marriage, intervened, but the Po’-e was inflexible. Boris says: “I dream of a sweet little wife, a pretty cottage, and a flower garden, but every girl I have ,- et courted nas refused me. It seems that nobody wants a husband who is likely to be assassinated at any moment.”
