KING FERDINAND
AN OPERATION PERFORMED. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) BUCHAREST, September 23. An official bulletin from Sinaia states that the King is suffering from a complaint of a varicose character, for which he underwent an operation. His general condition is satisfactory.—A. and N.Z. Cable. King Ferdinand is sixty-one years of age. Ho married Princess Marie of Edinburgh in 1893, and succeeded to the throne on October 10, 1914.
