TAKING OVER BUSES.

PROCEDURE AT WELLINGTON. (Feom Ojb Own Cobeebpondenx.) WELLINGTON, September 23. Replying to Cr Semple at yesterday 'afternoon’s meeting of the City Council, the Mayor said that the valuation of the buses of the Wellington Bus Company to be taken over by the council was being carried out according to the procedure laid down in the Act, Three of the council’s officers were acting as valuers, and they would report to the Transport Board of the corporation, and through that board to the Finance Committee, and to the council at a later stage. The other side would be asked to make recommendations, and, if possible, an agreement would bo arrived at. He considered that that procedure would work out quite satisfactorily.
