TAIERI CLUB. The annual meeting of the Taieri Bowling Club, which was hold last night, was well attended. The retiring president (Mr E. Currie) occupied the chair. The President referred to the death of two members —Messrs L Gilligan and R. J. Sparks—and those present stood in silence for a brief Period in respect to their memory. The annual report, which outlined the activities of tl chib for the past year, was read and adopted. The balance sheet showed a small credit balance, and a statement of assets and liabilities showed the former to be in excess by £SOO 2s Id. The following ollice-bcarers were elected for the incoming season: —President, the Ivor - . W. W. Ewart; vice-president, Mr ■las. Henderson; secretary and treasurer, Mr Win. Allan: Green Committee. Messrs A. E. Quelc!' and J. onion: General Committee, o/lice-bearers already named and Mr A, Wilson: auditor, Mr W. E. M'Loan. It was resolved to have three selectors this season, and Messrs T. A. Mackie, Chas. Findlay, and E. Currie were appointed. Messrs W. Allan and A. F. Quclch were appointed delegates to the Bowling Centre. Mr T. Mackie moved that the annual subscription be increased to £3 3s. * A general discussion followed, and it was decided that the subscription be £2 5s for old members, olts 30s. both payable in I two instalments, the first in November j and the second in January. The number of rinks to be played was fixed at six. Three now members were elected.
