ENGLISH FUTURISTS.

HIS MAJESTY’S TO-NIGHT. To-niglit the “English Futurists” will commence a season of six nights and a matinee at His Majesty’s Theatre, and Dunedin theatregoers can go well prepared for a splendid night’s entertainment. The “Futurists" have appeared with groat success in nineteen countries, and are now- in their nine-month tour of the Dominion. The outstanding feature is the bewildering rapidity with which the numbers succeed one another, and the pop which each performer puts into his work. With dainty frocking, refreshing “Futuristic” scenery and multicoloured light, this company gives one of (he brightest shows to visit New Zealand. With two such original comedians ns O. W. Desmond and Cyril Northcote (late Syd. Janies Royal Strollers) the' comedy is in capable hands, and its wholesome merriment keeps the audience in a continuous state of uproarious laughter. Giorgl Corroili lias a flue robust tenor voice, and before joining the Futurists was a principal solist with the Italian Opera Company. Gus Dawson and Eily Dnlgleish are well remembered here from the New Zealand Diggers, and dancing is their feature. Ini Love Is nu excellent sketch nitist, also a singer of dainty melodies. Berry Ross has a splendid quality bantone voice, and Winnie Edgertou is a soprano with a very extensive range. “The Cabaret Kittens” are a delightful ballet, and the Futurist Jazz Orchestra, with Gladys Thomas (the singing conductress) Is a very capable baud. “The Futurists have certainly brightened vaudeville,” says (he Christchurch Press, and Dunedin k will endorse it. Patrons are advised to book at the Bristol. Day sales at the Geyser.
