MEETING OF NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. (Per Uni ced Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 27. It was announced at the quarterly meeting of the delegates to the New Zealand Cricket Council that the Redpath Cup had been awarded to C. A. Allcott, Auckland, for the most meritorious performance of the season. The council expects shortly to receive South Australia’s acceptance of the invitation to send a team to the Dominion. The Secretary reported that the loss on the Australian tour had been reduced to £686 and that the council’s funds were £B7O in credit. A notice of motion was given on behalf of Auckland for the annual meeting to amend the Plunket Shield rules to permit of professional coaches playing.
