HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.
INTERNATIONAL VAUDEVILLE 00. The advent of one of Williamson’s vaudeville companies is always hailed with delight, and the company at present appearing in His Majesty’s Theatre worthily upholds the reputation won by its predecessors. Last night’s audience was delighted with the performance, and showed its appreciation in no uncertain fashion. The turns were varied and novel, and it is safe to say that many of them are entirely new to Dunedin audiences. Rupert Hazell and his charming partner Elsie Day are a P al '*i of whom one is sorry to see the last, and Wal-er Nilsson performs miracles awheel which keep his watchers constantly on tiptoe. Harmston’s cockatoos are wonderful no other word adequately describes them—and their astounding feats reflect great credit on their trainer. Others contributing to an excellent evening’s entertainment are Odette Delage (the French violinist), the Flemings (in their presentation of studies in alabaster), Dorothy Brown (accordeonist), Francois (who balances himself on and nimbly manipulates a globe), and Jones ana Raines- The turn of Niobe, the mermaid, is also well received. The performance will bo repeated again this evening and to-morrow evening, and a matinee performance will be (riven.
