AUSTRALIANS’ TOUR. , PROSPECT OF CANCELLATION. (Press Association—Bv Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, May 7. (Received May 7, at 10.55 p.m.) Commenting on the New Zealand Soccer Council’s decision regarding the proposed visit of an Australian team to the Dominion, the newspaper Sun’s critic says the decision is likely to cause the tour to be abandoned. Recently the New South Wales Asspciation decided not to participate in the tour unless its terms were granted. The Australian Council has not yet received replies from the other States on the question of joining in the tour, but it is regarded as certain that if New South Wales stands aloof tjie tour will be cancelled. ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. PROPOSED AUSTRALIAN VISIT. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 7. The Football Association is still endeavouring to arrange for a visit from an Australian team, but tho stumbling block is a demand for 25 per cent. o f *ho profits, in addition to 10s per day allowance for plavers which is estimated to amount to £4OO. During the discussion it was proposed to drop the tour altogether, members being doubtful if even the allowance money would be covered by the receipts. Eventually it was decided to cable the Australian authorities refusing to pay 25 per cent. ___________
