WELLINGTON MILK SUPPLY.
SUBSTANTIAL PROFITS EARNED. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 6. It was stated at the meeting of the city council to-night that the year’s operations of the municipal mi'iK supply department showed a profit on the year s working of £7254, which, added to the balance of £10,970, made a gross total of £18,224. Tiis amount of the winters loss was estimated 10 weeks ago at £IO.OOO, biit as the butter-fat price has been lowered the loss will be less.
