PASTORAL AWARD SOUGHT. MELBOURNE, April 9. (Received April 9, at 11.30 p.m.) In the Federal Arbitration Court, at the commencement of the hearing of the Australian Workers’ Union case against the pastoralists, the union protested against the appearance of Mr William Allen, secretary of the Graziers’ Association of New South Wales as the representative of a number of the respondents oh the ground that Mr Allen is not a respondent himself. Mr Justice Powers stated that if the objection were upheld the case would have to be adjourned for three months in order to allow the 2500 respondents to appear before the court. The case was then adjourned till Monday to allow the Australian Workers’ Union to discuss the position.
