AERIAL FLIGHT

Franco left Verde Island at two o’clock this morning on a flight to Fernando do Noronha. Te hopes to bridge the Atlantic in 16 hours.—A. and N.Z. Cable. RIO DE JANEIRO, January 30. (Received Jan. 31, at 11.5 p.m.) Completing the longest stage of the journey from Spam to the Argentine, Flight-'commander Franco’s seaplane landed in the sea off Fernando de Noronha on Saturday evening, and was towed into the harbour. The seaplane has traversed 3305 miles, and the next lap of the flight will be 279 miles to Pernambuco, on the Brazilian mainland. —Reuter.
