SYRIAN REBELLION
FRENCH MASSING TROOPS. ENEMY REPRISALS. (Pres* Association—By Telegraph-Copyright > DAMASCUS, January 17. The French are massing troops at Uzra, preparatory to attacking the Jebel Druses, when the weather improves. They will probably advance in three columns. A French column inflicted severe punishment on a band responsible for cutting the Beirut railway. They captured a gun and material and burned the villages around El Hame, fifteen miles from Damascus, for assisting a marauder band.— Reuter.
