A SERIOUS CHARGE.

ACCUSED ADMITTED FOR TRIAL. James Arthur Cameron Perry, a man over 70 years of age, was charged before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M., at the City Police Court yesterday with indecently assaulting a girl 12 years of age. Accused, for whom Mr C. J. L. White appeared, entered a plea of not guilty. Chiof-de.tect.ive Lewis prosecuted. The girl gave evidence that the offence took place at the Princess Theatre on January 2. ....... Detective Farquharson stated that in consequence of information received he arrested the accused, who denied all knowledge of the charge. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, bail being allowed in his own surety of £IOO and two others of £SO.
