EARLY SETTLERS’ ASSOCIATION
The monthly meeting of the committee of the Burly Setters’ Association was held yesterday, the president (Mr W. Nioolson) in the chair. The following gifts were received and Totes of thanks passed to the donors: —From. Burton and Paterson, Dunedin agreement to lease, Captain W. Cargill to William Simpsou, section in Walker street, Jane 8, 1818; from Wm. Bell, Waihola, book illustrating London Exhibition, 1851; Sirs Geo. Thomson, Highgate, wooden seat formerly used in horse tram*, Dunedin, 18TS; the MTjeod family, Islay Downs, framed portrait of their parents, Mr and Mrs Peter M'Leod, Islay Downs, Palmerston South (Mr sixties, Mrs M'Leod, nee Muir, Cornwall, 1818); Mrs J. Sandilands, Balclut-ha, framed portraits of the iate Mr and Mrs Jas.
