SPAHLINGER TREATMENT.
NEW ZEALANDER IMPRESSED. GOOD RESULTS CLAIMED. (Peb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, October 28. In a letter to the press Mr George Shirtcliffe, who has just returned from Geneva, where he has been on a visit to his son-in-law, who has been undergoing a course of Spahlinger treatment for some two years, speaks in the most confident terms of Spahlinger’s ultimate success if he can only obtain the' assistance necessary to enable him to perfect his experiments. % Mr Shirtcliffe says: “I have 'returned with, the belief that Spahlinger is a genius; that he is making his researches his lifework for the benefit of humanity; and that not only is he deserving of all the help that can he afforded him, but that it is the duty of the Governments as well as private individuals of means to see that he is enabled to complete his work.” Mr Shirtcliffe admits writing simply as a layman, but ventures the opinion that any members of the medical profession who at the present stage condemn the treatment are assuming a very grave responsibility, in view of the support which has been given by. other distinguished members of the professioia.
