BOOM ON WALL STREET
FRENZIED SELLING CONTINUES. CAUSE OF MOVEMENT UNKNOWN. AttMtolntion —By Telegraph—CopyriffTO NEW YORK, October 2D. (Received Oct 21, at 5.5 p.m.) The frenzied trading on Wall street was unabated to-day, when 2,823,400 shares changed hands. Observers profess ignorance of the real cause of the boom or the identity of those reaping the tremendous profits accruing from the soaring prices. It is pointed out that General Motors alone have increased the market value of their stock by 160,000,000 dollars in the past three weeks, and many others have increased proportionately.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
