RIFLE SHOOTING.

KAITANGATA CLUB. Good performances were registered at the Kaitangata Club’s shoot when the first match of tho Cooko Cup series took place. A championship medal is to be given this year over the full series of matches in the Cooke Cup, and a now Lee Cup has been presented by Mr Robert Lee in lieu of the Carson Cup which was won outright last year for the best, performance from scratch. Dr W. B. Reekie, a late president of the club, has presented a medal for this event. 'Hie club will hold its annual match with Dunedin on Labour Day at the local range and the following have been chosen; F. and W. Carson, R. and J. Barclay, Oliver, Baker. Bisset. Anderson, J.. G., and T. Frazer, Kitto, J. Smith, MUrostio, Kyle, Mackie and Coulter. The following are the scores: —Limit, 94. Conditions: Ten shots and an optional sightor at each of tho range© 300yds and 500yds :
