BOWLING.

MEETING OF DUN EDI X CENTRE.

The monthly meeting of the executive ot the Dunedin Bowling Centre was held last evening, Mr A. M'Ken/.ie presiding. FIXTURES BOOKLET. Mr Jacobsen, convenor of the committee appointed to go into the matter of the centre’s official fixtures booklet, reported that satisfactory progress had been made, the books being at present in the hands of tho printer. When available they would bo found to contain a hind of information invaluable to bowlers generally, as well as being a useful souvenir to visiting bowlers. A motion was passed thanking the subcommittee for its care and trouble in connection with the framing of the rules, etc., contained in the book. DOMINION TOURNAMENT. Mr Campbell, convenor of the sub-com-mittee appointed to decide what should be done regarding a special prize for the winner of the Dominion Tournament, reported that the committee had recommended that an oil painting should be purchased, the value of which was not to exceed £25. It was further decided that the painting would bo not one of the Exhibition, and that it would not be purchased until after the opening of the Exhibition. VISIT OF BRITISH BOWLERS. ' Owing to tho present unsettled state of overseas shipping, and the consequent doubt regarding the date of the arrival of the visiting British bowlers, it was resolved that for the present the ordering of presentation badges be left in abeyance, and that a subcommittee be appointed to act in this matter. ■ CORRESPONDENCE. The secretary of the Christchurch Centre wrote stating that ■he had made inquiries and had ascertained that the Redpath shield was not insured in that city. Mr G. G. Adess, donor of the Adess Shield, wrote stating that he had no objection to the shield being placed on exhibition with the other trophies. A communication was received from tho secretary of the Waikouaiti Club extending an invitation to any of the city clubs to send two or three rinks on any Wednesday or Saturday for the purpose of playing friendly games.
