STRUGGLE FOR SUEIDA. HEAVY FRENCH KEINTDRCEMENTS. Proas Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. JERUSALEM, September 11. Heavy French reinforcements are pressing towards Sueida.—A. and N.Z. Cable. FRENCH STILL SURROUNDED. DEFIANT DRUSE PROCLAMATION. PARIS, September 11. A despatch from Esra announces the complete evacuation of Sueida, the capital of Jebel Druse, by the Druse population, but official circles in Paris so tar have not confirmed the report. An Esra despatch describes caravans of camels as taking women and children to the mountainous region of Transjordania and says that the Druse forces still occupy the walled portion of the town which they utilise as a strong point for attack. The Trench garrison, 700 strong, are still surrounded in the citadel. The besiegers, however, have themselves been attacked by the French relief force which lias Just arrived. The Druse leader Atrash in a proclamation appeals to the Islamic world for assistance. He declares that the Druses are determined to continue the struggle in the mountains till all capable of bearing arms are killed.—Reuter.
