At a meeting of dairymen, representing a wide radius, the following resolution was adopted without dissent: ‘‘That this representative meeting of dairymen gives its full support to the Dairy Produce Export Control Board, and considers that it should be given a fair trial.” WELLINGTON, July 14. An unusual situation in New Zealand confronted the Chief Justice today in a petition for nullity, when an allegation of bigamy was preferred against respondent by petitioner on the ground that, although when the lady married him in Australia she had secured a divorce from her previous husband at Reno, she .was still married to the former husband according to the laws of the New York State, .whore the latter resided, as New York State refused to acknowledge the validity of the “quick lunch” Reno divorces. His Honor granted a decree for nullity. A party, of 172 assisted immigrants arrived by the Rcmucra to-day, consisting of .84 men, 44 women, and 44 children. They are booked as follows :—Auckland 32, Napier 2, New Plymouth 14, Wellington 63, Westport 15, Greymouth 2, Lyttelton 14, Timaru 1 Port Chalmers 18, Bluff 2. ’ CHRISTCHURCH, July 14. A serious dislocation of the tramway traffic occurred lash night through a telegraph cable falling across and snapping the trolly wires on the Papanui line. The repairs took nearly three hours to complete.
