MINING.
Tho Greymonth correspondent of the Christchurch Press reports that good progress ia being made with the construction of tho dredge at Maori Creek. When completed, it will be floated in a pond which ia to be excavated and filled with water. Mr E. J. Conway, chairman of directors, presided at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Scotia Gold Mining Company. It was resolved, after discussion, to wind up the company voluntarily, and Mr T. H. Lee was appointed liquidator. The directors were appointed an Advisory Board to assist him' in the operation.
