THE SOVIET EXPEDITION. THREE MACHINES REACH PEKING. frees Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. PEKING, July 13. Throe of the Soviet aeroplanes have arrived, and a. fourth machine is expected. Two machines were reported to have been disabled.— Reuter. An aerial expedition of six aeroplanes, including four which were constructed in Russia, left Moscow for Peking on June 10 in the presence of thousands of people, including members of the Government and many others. Aeroplanes escorted the expedition on its first stage of the journey, the object of which is to survey an' air route across Siberia and over the Gobi Desert, to China. If successful it is proposed to form a Soviet-Chinese company, and to establish permanent communication between Europe and China over this route.
