CORRUPT DETECTIVES
O'SULLIVAN FOUND GUILTY. Press Association —By Telegraph— Copyright. MELBOURNE, July 13. (Received July 13, at 11 p.m.) The trial of Detective o‘Sulhvan has concluded. The jury returned a- verdict of guilty. O’Sullivan was remanded for sentence. On April 2 Detective-inspector Olholm (head of the Railways Detective Branch), Detective Leo O’Sullivan (second in charge of the , Railways Detective Branch), and Detectives W. B. Fowler and T). J. M’P'herson were charged with having, on February 4, at Melbourne, conspired unlawfully to obtain money from Terence Callaghan, licensee of the Londonderry Hotel, Col ling-wood, with having, on February 17, stolen £IOOO, the property of Callaghan, and with having, on February 12 and 17, demanded of Callaghan, with menaces, £6500, with intent, to steak Olholm and MTherson have already been sentenced to 12 months’ and nine months’ imprisonment respectively, but Fowler has been missing since the issue of the warrants.
