WOOD-PULP INDUSTRY
NEW ZEALAND’S POSSIBILITIES.
A FAVOURABLE OPINION
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, July 7.
Messrs WylHo and Fraser. of New Zealand, have delivered the opinion, after investigating the Canadian wood-pulping industry, that New Zealand has many advantages in that sphere of trade, especially in view of its planted areas, compared with Canada’s primeval forests, xn which dead trees present u> constant fire menace. That menace does not exist in the New Zealand tended areas, os New Zealand trees grow Sin in 10 years, and for pulping 4in trees are the best. _ Preparations in New Zealand should be in full swing in a few years.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
