Tho following announcement has been issued from Buckingham Palace: The "Warrants of Appointment as Photographer to the King tho Queen, and the Prince of Wales issued to Mr Ernest Brooks, have been cancelled. The following further notices appeared in The London Gazette: St. James's Palace, S-.TV.T. May 5, 1925. “'flic King has direelcd that tho Award of the Medal of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of (ho British Empire to Ernest Brooks, which was gazetted on Juno 3, 1918, shall bo eaneelled and annulled, and Ids name erased from llio Register. ‘•The King has directed that the appointment of Ernest, Brooks to he an Officer ol the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the Biitish Empire, dated January 1, 1920, shall be eaneelled and annulled, and his name erased front the Register. Mr Brooks, who accompanied the King and Queen to India for the Coronal ion Durbar, and later the Duke and Duchess of Connaught on their South African lour,_ was in New Zealand with the Prince of Wales, lie was the first of the official photographers appointed to (he Forces by the War Office and the Admiralty during the late war, when he hold a commission and the rank of lieutenant.
