Fat, Cattle.—A medium sized yarding, 281 head altogether corning under the hammer, 'ilia quality taken all round was a shade obiter than last week, there being a number of prime well-linislmd bullocks throughout tho yarding, although a number of tile pens contained bullocks more suited to the glazier than to the butcher. By far this greatest proportion of those consisted of medium and light-weight ewes and wethers suitable for freezing, but the number of extra heavy sheep was small. Butchers were good buyers for all prime sheep, and export: buyers were operating for all suitable hues.' Owing to the large supply the market cased fully 2s per head for aii classes. Store sheep were down in value, as also were fat cuttle, but fat sheep sold well. Store, Sheep.—'these had a sluggish sale, and prices were we|t below last- weeK, particularly for wether hoggets. Odd pens of sound-mouthed owes sold moderately well.
