SCHOONER OVERDUE.
MARORO’S LONG PASSAGE. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Juno 6. The Gisborne schooner Alaroro is now 43 days out from Newcastle cn route for Gisborne. She was sighted off ’East Cape eight days ago. THE VESSEL ARRIVES. ADD SCHOONER OVERDUE TELEGRAI A SEVERE BUFFETING, (Per United Press Association.) GISBORNE, June 7. The Maroro arrived in port to-night. The ship left Newcastle on April 23, and encountered a succession of gales. The steering chains carried away on May 10, and the mainsail, tho lower topsail, the inner jib, and the rudder chains again on Alay 22. The foresail carried away on May 30.
