EXIT OF RETURNED SOLDIERS’ UNION. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY', June 4. The Returned Soldiers and Sailors’ Waterside Workers’ Union passed out of existence yesterday. Since January lust the organisation had fought a losing fight against the official Labour Union, pressure from which hud depleted its ranks THE SEAMEN’S UNION. DEE EGISTR ATI ON AP PLICATION. SYDNEY, Juno 4. (Received Juno 4, at 9 p.m.) A meeting of the management committee of the Seamen's Union decided not to oppose the .shipowners’ application for the deregistration of the Seamen’s Union, as it was not advisable to incur further legal expenses. It was also decided that if the owners attempted to reduce wages or alter tho conditions of work the union would fight them industrially.
