(Received May 10, at 6.5 p.m.) The New Zealand delegation to the International Council of Women has cabled the British House of Commons oongratnla tions, similar to the Australian message. The delegation to-day attended a meeting of women’s party of America. Mrs Jones has discussed the immigration question with the CommissionerGeneral of Immigration. Tho Council adopted a resolution favouring a gradual and simultaneous disarmament ‘‘under an effective control to be agreed upon by the respective Governments and tho League of Nations, ’ and favouring the aiding of neaceful relations by a policy of regarding neighbours as their natural friends. Lady Aberdeen has been re elected president.'—A. and N.Z. Cable. On May 7 the Australian delegation to the International Council of Women cabled congratulations to_ the British House of Commons on its unanimous acceptance of the principle that women should have tho right to retain or change their nationality on marriage. The delegation moreover expressed a desire to see Australia the first dominion to follow this important vital step.
