FORESTERS.

sA very large attendance of members greeted the C.R. of Court Pride of the Leith, A.0.F., at its fortnightly meeting held oa "Wednoeday evening last. In opening the proceedings, the C.K., Bro. H. C. J. T? Bennett, 'made feeling reference to the i-.ss which .the court had suffered bv the death of thejS.C.E., the late Bro. G. B. Oliphant, and the court opened and remained in mourning. The secretary also spoke of the good work faithfully done by the late Bro. Oliphant, who had the ideala of Forestry &t heart. A motion of sympathy was pasaad to the relatives of the deceased brother, members standing in silence for a moment. A considerable amount of business for the welfare of the court was transacted, and arrangements ware completed to commence the winter programme nest meeting. P.C.R. Bro. K. S. Vercoe gave the chief report of the delegates at the recent annual district meeting, and was thanked for same. The congratulations of the members were also extended to Bro. Vercoe on his election to the District Executive. The remaining delegates also reported on the meeting, and the secretary spoke as a district officer. A letter of thanks and appreciation of the kindness to the delegates and members who visited Gore was passed to Court Pride of Gore. One new member was admitted. The toast of ''The Visitors" was responded to by P.C.U. Bio. "VV Himmel, on behalf of Court Enterprise.
