Ho welcomed "Monsieur and Madame Saldaigne, who had been promenent in the French Club, and who would be a source of great strength to the local club. A very interesting programme had been arranged for the evening by M. Saldaigne. Miss Ford contributed a pianoforte solo. H. Saldaigno accompanied by Miss Ford, sang several French songs which were greatly appreciated. Miss Jeffreys recited La Fontaine’s fable, “La Cigale et la Fourmi” tastefully ana dramatically. The main part of the programme consisted of George Coutteline’a amusing one-act comedy /‘La Paix chez Soi,” in wliich the characters were taken by M. Saldaigne and Mra Primmer.
