RED CROSS GARDEN FETE.

The garden ,fete organised by the Red Cross Society should draw a large number of tho public to Montecillo to-day. Patrons who attended similar previous functions thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The society’s gardener, ■Mr Moir, has put forth his best effort, tfith the result that the home grounds are a delight to the eye. An inspection of the home and its up-to-dafta appointments will, also prove both interesting and informative. Afternoon tea will be available, and the Third Artillery Band will supply a first-class musical programme. The soldier patients will have some excellent samples of their handiwork for sale, and our citizens will doubtless accord the men their support. The Mayor will formally open tho function at 2.30 p.m.
