MOTOR CYCLIST’S. DEATH. INQUEST ~AT GORE. (Pee United Peess Association.) GORE, November 19.. Tho district Coroner, Mr Andrew Martin, held an adjourned-inquiry to-day respecting the motor accident on the Gore-Puberal! road on October 29, in which William , Joseph Kearns, an employee of Ballinger and Co., was killed as the result of his motor cycle . colliding with a car driven by J. Richardson, Dunedin. Mr B. S. Irwin (Dunedin) appeared on behalf of Richardson. A verdict was returned that deceased accidentally met his death when riding. a motor cycle which collided with a car driven by Mr Richardson, thereby sustaining a fractured skull. -, DEATH BY POISONING. ■ (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 19. A middle-aged man, named Arthur Edward Variey, committed suicide by poisoning himself at his home in Great North road. Deceased's wife said he had no worries so far as she knew, and had always been of a cheerful disposition. FATALLY CRUSHED IN LIFT, ’ (Per United Press Association.) ! CHRISTCHURCH, November 19. Alexander Johnstone, aged 69, a married man, lift attendant in the Hereford Court Buildings, was crushed in tho lift on Mon- j day and died this morning from/ a broken thigh and severe internal injuries. . h Garri Bovall, u married man, 54 years of age, who Is employed by Messrs Podd and Borlase, was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital yesterday suffering from slight injuries to his head, the result of a fall while at work. The injured man resides in Revill street, Caver sham.
