CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.
SEQUEL TO MOTOR FATALITY. ACCUSED FOUND GUILTY. (Per United Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, November 19. At the Supreme Court Leonard M* Buddl© was charged with manslaughter. The accused while driving a motor on the North road collided with a boy cyclist named Harold Cole, who died from injuries. The Crown alleged that the accused was under the influence of liquor, and drove recklessly, and was on the wrong side. . ; Accused admitted having had a_ tow drinks at Wallacetown, while contradictory evidence was given as to his actual condition. , The medical testimony was that an t»d injury might have been responsible for tho dazed condition of the accused. _ Tho jury i©turned a verdict of guilty, and sentence was deferred till the morning.
