CARR’S DEFEAT OF PORRITT. Pres* Association— By Telegraph—Copyright. PRAGUE, September i. (Received Sept. 8, at 1.10 a.m.) Carr (Australia) defeated A. E. Porritt (Xew Zealand) in the 100 metres m 10 4-sscc. Porritt led for 70 metres, and Carr, finishing; fast, won by a metro. Carr severely strained a leg tendon, which is regarded as serious.
