German reparations have been sent by the Prime Minister (Mr Bruce) through his Excellency the Governor-General to the Prime Minister of Great Britain (Mr Ramsay MacDonald). . Mr' Bruce’s message was as follows: ‘‘On behalf of the Government and people of Australia I extend to you and your colleagues warmest congratulations on bringing to a successful consummation tbe long-continued efforts of British and Empire statesmen to effect a settlement of the intricate reparations question.
