SYDNEY. August 22. The report of tho Select Committee which inquired into pony racing has been presented in the Assembly. It recommends, inter alia, that the various clubs now operating under tho associated racing clubs shall be formed into non-pnoprietaxy dubs, and such clubs shall form among themselves an association of clubs. It is recommended that the body thus constituted shall have power to control its own affairs, including the appointment of officials and the granting of licenses, subject to the rules and endorsement of the Australian Jockey Club; that such an association of clubs shall be empowered to hear and determine all appeals from the committee or stewards of any club which is a memben of tho association of clubs, but subject to the condition that any person affected by such determination shall have the right to appeal to the Australia Jockey Club’s committee.
