The Otago Provincial Fruitgrowera’ Council reports the following week-end cablegram from the High Commissioner’s office, London: Sale of apples from Fruitlando (Otago) etill incomplete, but the bulk were sold from 17a to 20s per case. A catalogue of 2603 bales of crutchings offered by local wool brokers attracted a large attendance of buyers, including Japanese representatives. Prices for the highe: grades in the early part of tho sale were (d down an I the lower grades par to fd down The prices realised ranged from 12fd to ICjd later for half bred. For scoured cru tellings up to ISd was refused. Competition was not keen, and a good many lots wore passed ;n, the reserves botutt considerably above ths buyers' ideas of values.
