SAN FRANCISCO, August 12. (Received August 13, at 10.40 p.m.) Tho steamer Urowaiti, which is owned by the Union Steam Ship Company of Now Zealand, is aground on Point Burchon, 150 miles south of here. —Reuter.

The Orowaiti is a steel screw steamer of 6684 tons, and was built at Greenock for the Union Company in 1921. Her principal dimensions are as follows: Length 408 ft 6in; breadth 53ft 7in; depth 27ft 9in. She trades between New Zealand and the Pacific Coast ports.
