Mr Brown moved that a letter be written to the offending clubs that in the event of their wanting to postpone a match they must notify tho executive. Mr Deuohraes then pointed out that it was questionable if the Mornington Club could have obtained a team awing to i injuries to the players. Mr M Innes asked if the Match Committee would be competent to deal with such a question. The Chairman said it was a little too big. Mr Brown: Tho teams should ask the permission of the chairman. It was pointed out that some clubs might use it as a pr^edent. Mr Anderson said thai, the other First Grade teams had played the game. If Mornington and Maori Hill had Been anxious to play they could have held the match at Culling Park at 3.20 p.m. While the other teams had played, the offending teams had shown "Raiferty rales." Mr Cocking: We are makirig a big- fuss over nothing. Mr Deuchrass moved as an amendmentr"That the matter bo dropped"—and this was carried by six votes to four.
