EMPIRE THEATRE.
The stirring tale of the Frozen Northland “Tiger Rose.” which was screened at the Empire Theatre on Friday for the first time, continues to attract large attendances. Lonore IJlric, who plays the title role, proves herself to bo an netresg of no mean ability, and the supporting cast is an excellent one. The story deals with the adventurous life in the Hudson Ray country, where the Harvard graduate on his homestead claim lives side by side with the renegade and fugitive from justice. Into this life comes little Rose Rocion, “Tiger Rose.” and how she lives and ultimately finds her goal in this environment is the theme of this delightful story. The scenes are full of situations which thrill the audience, and follow one another m rapid succession. A good supporting programme is also screened, while the Empire Orchestra render many enjoyable selections.
