A newspaper agitation has roused the Government to take cognisance of the Matthews death ray. Mr Grindell-Mat-thews interviewed the officials of the Research Department of live Air Ministry, and arranged to give a demonstration on Monday. Dr Wall, lecturer in electricity at Sheffield University, is applying for a patent for a death ray, for which he claims the same powers as the Matthews ray in stopping aeroplanes and destroying life. Mr Grindell-Matthews announces that he has an important invention by means of which he can discover the position of submarines by an electrical apparatus.— Sydney Sun Cable.
