GRAIN AND PRODUCE.' Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report as under: Oats.—The market remains firm at late rates for all bright lines suitable for seed. Wo quote; A Cartons, 4s XOd; B Gartens. 4a Sd (sacks extra). Wheat.—There is very little doing in the wheat market. Practically everything is now in the merchants’ hands, and prices remain firm. We quote, 5s 3d lor good whole fowl wheat (sacks extra). Chuff.—Canterbury is supplying the bulk of what is now offering, and merchants are content to buy from day to day. We quote, £7 10s to £7 15s (sacks extra) for prime; medium to good, £6 10s to £7 (sacks extra). Potatoes.—The market remains on a par with last week’s. Farmers are holding prime quality for higher money than what is now offering. We quote, £6 5s to £7 per ton (sacks in). Messrs Dalgcty and Co. report as follows: Oats.—Offerings are very light, and any lines available for prompt delivery are readily taken by shippers at quotations. We quote; A Gartens, 4s lOd; B Gartens, 4s 8d per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat.—Fowl wheat is in short supply, and good whole fowl wheat is inquired for at up to 5s 3d per bushel. Potatoes. —Supplies are heavier, and prices for medium and inferior qualities have eased slightly. Choice lots are still saleable at from £6 5s to £7 per ton. Chaff.—Consignments are light, and local feeders are buyers at quotations. Wo quote: Prime oaten sheaf, from £7 10s to £7 15s; good to best feed, £6 10s to £7 per ton (sacks extra). DAIRY PRODUCE. The National Mortgage and Agency Company are in receipt of the following cablegram from Messrs A. J. Mills and Co. (Ltd.), London: The butter market is steady. Salted, 164 s to 1665; unsalted, 174 s to 1765. The cheese market is steady. White and coloured, 82s to 83s. WRIGHT, STEPHENSON. AND 00. The eighteenth annual rpccting of the members of Wright, Stephenson and' Co. (Ltd.) was held at the head office of tb® company, 34 Customhouse quay, Wellington, on Friday last, in the presence of a large number of shareholders. Profit and loss account, including £13,481 2s Id brought forward from last year, showed a credit balance of £53,290 10s. A dividend of 7 per cent, on the ordinary shares was declared and the fixed payment to preference shareholders was adopted, leaving a balance of £19,18415s to be carried forward. Messrs J. A. Johnstone and P. C. Gray, retiring directors, were re-elected, Messrs Barr. Her.cus, and Co., auditors, were re-appointed. NEW PLYMOUTH HARBOUR BOARD LOAN. Press Association— By Telegraph—Copyright.
