The City of Adelaide (Captain John Bay) arrived at Auckland from New_ York on Thursday morning. She loaded at New York late in March and April, clearing on April 16. A short stop wae made at Colon on tho morning of April 24, the vessel taking in bunker coal and fresh water boiore- proceeding through the canal in the afternoon. The voyage ws resumed from Balboa at 9 20 p.m. on the earue day, and An*, weather was met with in the Pacific until May 12, when the vessel ran into a series of gales, •wilh. heavy beam and head seas, from nor'■wesfc weet and aouth-west, that lusted for five 'days. On Saturday the City of Adelaide passed out of the stoTm area and experienced better weather to port. Captain Hay has with him:—Mr H. G. Booth, chiof officer; Mr C. CollaTd, second; Mr A.
