TAIERI EXPANSION LEAGUE.

m ■ The retiring president (Mr T. Miller) presided over the annual meeting of the Taieri Expansion League last night. There was> an attendance of 32 members. The President reported having interviewed the borough council about the erection of conveniences in the Recreation Ground. He had received a reply that the council had the matter in hand and had promised to erect them. The following office-bearers wore elected: President, Mr W. E. M'Lean; vice-president, Mr ti~ Densem; secretary and treasurer, jmlt Lennox; committee—Messrs J. Hicks, AHart, .Rutherford, A. E. Bacon, H. Swallow, Smith, H. M'Lellan, Murdoch, and George M'Leod ; auditors, Me3Srß Mitchell and Fogo. On the motion of Mr Frew it was resolved to place on record a minute cf appreciation of the services of the retiring president during the past year. The annual report was read and adopted, and the balance ahect ; which was incomplete, was held over till next meeting. It was decided to meet on every second Monday of the month in future. The president, vice-president, end secretary were appointed a aub-comrnittee i-> approach the borough council, asking that body to call a meeting of delegates from all associations in Mosgioi to make arrangements lor a bazaar to be held next year in aid of Mosgiel improvements. The question of a social was left in the hands of the General Committee.
