BOY FATALLY SHOT.

(Per United Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, April 23. A shooting accident, attended with fatal results, occurred at Pohangina on Monday. A lad named Davy left his place of employment with another boy on a shooting expedition. They had only proceeded a short distance when the gun in Davy» possession went off, the discharge penetrating his thigh and severing the main artery. The boy was removed to the hospital, where he succumbed from hia injuries this morning. Mrs Percy George and her niece. Miss May Campnell, who were knocked down by a motor lorry in la>wer High street on Tuesday and admitted to the hospital, are reported to be showing signs of improvement. Mrs George is suffering from injuries to the back and face, and Miss Campbell is suffering from shock.
