It will give members of Dail Eireann an opportunity to express their Republican sympathies.—The Times. • FREE STATE NAVY. AN INEFFECTIVE FORCE. LONDON, March 31. The Irish Free State Navy has been disbanded, and the ships are laid up at Kingstown. The navy cons’sted of small craft for the protection of the Irish fisheries against foreign trawlers. The ships carried small guns, hut no gunners. A few rifles were issued to the crew. As the ships were slower than the trawlers, and were not equipped with wireless, the poachers were able to defy them.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
