DUNSTAN PRESBYTERY
The Dunstan Presbytery met at Pembroke last week in order to be present at the Rev. John Riley’s diamond jubilee celebrations. The court met in the Wanaka Hotel, and the Moderator, the Rev. A. H. Wheildon, occupied the chair. A call from the Roxburgh congregation signed by 42 members and 40 adherents was presented, and as it was stated to be practically unanimous, on the motion of the Rev. John Riley, seconded by Mr Hamilton, it was sustained. Mr Ings was not present, but the Rev, S.' Rankin slated that ho had written certifying his intention of accepting the call. Reference was made to Mr Riley’* jubilee, and the Rev. S. Rankin was deputed to draw up a Suitable minute to be recorded on the books of the Presbytery. The Presbytery adjourned to meet at Roxburgh Church on Tuesday, April 8, when the induction of the Rev. James Ings will take place.
